Fly Kites at Tehachapi’s Wind Festival!
The Tehachapi Wind Festival is returning for its second year in a row on April 26th. This incredible event brought in families from across Kern County to beautiful Meadowbrook Park last year and the skies were full of colorful kites. Now the event is back with delicious food trucks, bounce houses, recreational fun, a DJ, face painting, crafts and activities, vendors, and of course, kites! This event is a fun way to celebrate Tehachapi’s spring season and Tehachapi’s wind. Wind powers the Tehachapi valley and there isn’t a better way to learn about or celebrate it than with a kite festival. Bring your favorite kite or purchase a new one at the festival. Cerro Coso Community College is Gold Sponsor for this event! Sim Sanitation is the official kite sponsor, providing small kites for children to color and fly for free (limited supply). Lil ‘Ntertainment is providing hours of bounce house fun. Tehachapi Valley Recreation and Parks District and the Golden Hills CSD are partnering with the Tehachapi Chamber to make this event happen. It wouldn’t be possible without them and the amazing businesses in Tehachapi. So mark your calendars for April 26th at 1pm and come to Meadowbrook Park for family fun, kite flying, games, music, vendors, food and more. We can’t wait to see you there! This event is free to attend.
If you are a vendor and are interested in participating in this event, please email us directly at chamber@tehachapi.com or call 661-822-4180. Thank you!
